My name is Michelle Seguin and I  reside in Orleans Ont.

I have 4 wonderful children, 3 of them are grown and have families of their own. My youngest daughter is almost 15 (she is fully vaccinated). She is with me and in school full time. I am a grandmother of 4 amazing little boys and 1 beautiful granddaughter. I also have an adorable chihuahua named Jasper,  a dachshund named molly and their baby girl (2 years old, Rosie) .  I have had jasper since he was 8 weeks old, he is now 10. He has been around children his entire life and loves to play. Molly has been in my family for 6 years and loves children even more. Molly & Rosie is not in the daycare setting during daycare hours. However Jasper is in the daycare with us.

I am CPR certified  for infant & children (and is updated every  2 years)

I have my ECE (Early Childhood Education) degree and also studied child Psychology

The ECE course was complex. Here is a list of a few of the subject I studied

Observation Skills

Introduction to Curriculum

Health and Wellness for Children

Foundations of Early Childhood Education

Child Development

Level: 02

Music and Movement Experiences for Children

Environments and Programming for Young Children

Introduction to Children with Exceptionalism

Guiding Children's Behavior

Eventho I have studied ECE, I have over 2 decade of experience

I opened my first home daycare in Montreal Quebec in 2004. There I took care of 15 children ranging from 10 months to 6 years within a 5 1/2 year period. During that time I took care of a child with special needs and loved every minute

I then relocated to Ottawa in 2009 where I continued my childcare services for another 5 years. I took  care of a number of children within that time and also had the privilege of taking care of a special little boy for 3 years. Liam! Liam was diagnosed with downs syndrome at birth.  I started to care for him when he was  just 10 months old. His development was slower then normal but, teaching him, caring for him every day, reminding him never to give up and seeing him smile made my heart glow. That feeling, I never want to live without and taking care of children ensures that my heart will glow forever.

I am still in contact with many of the  parents on social media. They send me pictures and updates on how their children are doing.

I have 1 space for a child 10 months and up beginning September 8th 2025

please fill out my wait list form if you wish to be added to the waiting list and I will contact you when a space becomes available.

My home is smoke free!
